Who doesn’t love a good viral animal video? We’re all about birds that sound like people, dogs on skateboards, and kittens so cute it’s almost a crime.
But sometimes, actual crime is the only way that some animals can make a name for themselves on the internet. The despicable acts of a few of our four-legged friends threaten the good name of animals everywhere. Let’s have a look at some of the worst offenders…
The escaped llamas
Like a fluffier Bonnie and Clyde, these two heroic llamas broke free from their captives in Arizona and gave authorities the runaround, in an epic chase that lasted at least a whole afternoon. While we really shouldn’t be glamorising their crimes, they do get some credit for the boost they gave to the meme industry from hundreds of parodies, edits, and tributes.
This baby panda jailbreaker.
Here’s the thing about jail: if you try to break out, all you’re going to do is make your sentence even more difficult. But apparently this lawbreaking baby panda hasn’t been taught the ways of the prison yard by his cellmates yet; as he keeps trying to bust out right in front of his guards. Bloody amateur.
This shoplifting seagull.
This bird has built up a rep in his local town for brazenly walking into stores and taking what he likes, believing himself to be untouchable. Well, his protection with the Bird Mafia won’t last forever, and local duck-tectives are waiting for their chance to bring him in.
This motorcycle-thieving giraffe.
You know your giraffe friend thinks that stealing some dude’s motorbike is in any way a good idea, you know that he has been playing too much GTA with the mods on. Fortunately this guys didn’t get quite the speedy getaway he had hoped for, and was apprehended by authorities shortly after.
One of the OGs of animal crime, caught on video. The Notorious Richmond Park Deer Agitator, with the most middle-class dog name ever. Memed to death, you still hear his ownder scream his name in your dreams. Fenton. Fenton. FEEENNTOOONNNN!
