You can always rely on your YouTube faves for the hottest takes on any major event – But what did they have to say about last night’s debate?

All anybody can talk about today is the crushing debate that was waged between two of the most controversial Presidential candidates of all time: Secretary Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. And while we Brits tragically slept through the whole thing, plenty of our YouTube faves from the US were glued to their screens; and were more than happy to provide all the anger, receipts, and hilarious commentary we could ask for.

Here’s just a few highlights of what some of your favourite YouTubers had to say about last night’s events:

Tyler Oakley

When he hasn’t been busy touring with ‘BINGE’ or hosting his own talk show, Tyler has spent a loooottt of time convincing his audience to register to vote. Last night his Twitter feed was blistering with all the hot takes – but he left plenty of room for dick jokes.

Nobody has found this election cycle more frustrating than the women who deal with men like Trump every day; and feminist vlogger Marina gets more than her fair share. Thankfully, with a huge portion of the internet (and basic facts) to back her up, last night’s debate was the perfect opportunity to let off some steam.

Nathan Zed

Nathan makes a point of not taking too much seriously online and keeping his Twitter feed real; so thankfully his debate coverage was an even mix of Trump receipts, memes, and the saddest picture of Bernie Sanders yet.

Ingrid Nilsen

Since her visit to the White House in January, Ingrid has taken on a much more political stance; and encouraging her audience to do the same. Her commentary of last night’s performance is the perfect blend of balanced, sassy, and full of some much-needed Girl Power.

Is all the political commentary too much for you? Maybe you’ll enjoy impressions! Jack nailed that “Trump reaction face” we all know and hate, amongst some other lively debate-related goofs.

Grace Helbig

Last but by no means least, we have Grace; who always, always manages to stay #relatable. Doing her best impression of everyone yelling at the TV last night, Grace’s spitfire commentary of the debate would have kept us going all night – if we didn’t have work in the morning.
