It’s a busy world – and as exciting as it can be to spend your days kicking various types of ass and generally just being a boss, it’s also important to take some time to chill and cool off. We’ve put together a little playlist of some original YouTuber songs that will get you into a nice, silky mood. Perfect for recharging your batteries after a productive day (or mental night out). Let’s dive in:
‘Can’t Sleep Love’ – Pentatonix
A song smoother than a stick of butter that has been covered in an additional layer of butter, ‘Can’t Sleep Love’ is the perfect tune to get you into a relaxed, but upbeat mood.
‘You’ – Dodie Clark
Dodie has many beautiful songs, so it was hard to pick between them, but her 2017 hit ‘You’ has just the peaceful vibe you’re looking for. Make yourself a nice hot drink and settle in with this:
‘Don’t Come Home’ – Emma Blackery
Emma is known for her sassy and often emotional pop hits, and this stripped-back version of ‘Don’t Come Home’ is certainly no exception. It also has a nice bite that will stop your chill-out session from segueing into an accidental nap.
‘Harry Potter In 99 Seconds’ – Jon Cozart
Here’s a whole bunch of good things all wrapped up in one neat package. A surefire feel-good treat. Thanks, Jon.
‘OH MY DAYUM’ – schmoyoho
Schmoyoho are the masters of taking viral videos and remixing them into infectious pop hits. In fact, they’re so popular that they were tapped to produce the theme song for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. However, of all their incredible creations, this song shines through for it’s relaxed groove. A soulful ode to the magic of delicious food.
‘Nice Guys’ is a song which seems to start off as an ode to clueless dating habits but which evolves into a really pleasant celebration of being … well … nice. It also helps that’s it’s Ryan Higa, so it’s naturally freakin’ hilarious.
‘Bird Song’ – Tessa Violet
An acoustic performance that feels as sweet and light as the bird in its title. Tessa is one of YouTube’s veteran talents and her unique voice in fully on display in this understated but touching bop.
‘Novels’ – Rusty Clanton
This video has a truly unique quality. Although the vocals and guitar are crystal clear, the video is filmed outside and so the ambient sound of the wind and the road is mixed into the fray, creating a music video that has an almost ASMR vibe.
