This week at We The Unicorns HQ has felt peculiarly long; but at last it’s Friday, which means another round of our Weekly Favourites!
We’ve got a pick of 8 of our favourite videos from this week, from all over different parts of YouTube; who knows, maybe you’ll discover something new that you’ll love? So prepare to sit back and enjoy!
Beckii – Which Is The Real You?
With so many makeup looks, photo filters and the like floating around the internet, it’s sometimes hard for people to define what is the “real you” when it comes to your body image. It’s an issue Beckii has thought a lot about – and her new candid vlog opens up the discussion really well.
Casey Neistat – My Baldness
Ever wonder the secret to a viral video? Casey’s a man with loads of them under his belt; and after his recent video of a $21,000 airplane seat reached 20 million views, decided to share why he thought the world had such interest. Also, watching go about his daily life is always fascinating.
Fleur de Force – 7 Years On YouTube!
It’s Fleur’s 7-year YouTube anniversary this week; and what better way to celebrate than with an epic supercut of all your best videos? Congrats again to Fleur, and here’s to another 7 years!
“COLD” Trailer (dir. Emily Diana Ruth)
Filmmaker Emily released her short film “COLD” into the world a year ago; and now she has adapted it into a full-length drama series. The story of a teenage girl looking for answers surrounding her mother’s death finally has its first trailer- and we can’t wait to see the finished result.
Emma Blackery – Roasting My Old Hairstyles
Emma’s got a pretty robust portfolio of old hairstyles and colours; and she is the first to admit that some of her style choices have been better and worse than others. But she’s less nice about it than us. But also funnier.
Roxxsaurus – Miss Peregrine’s Inspired Make-up Tutorial
With “Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children” hitting theatres this week, we’ve been hard at work on our own peculiar content. But we wish we’d come up with a look as daring and peculiar as Roxi did in this video!
Vsauce – Fixed Points
Did you know that a) there’s technically an art museum on the moon and b) Andy Warhol basically drew a dong on it? Yep, that’s a thing. Anyway, watch this really interesting video from Michael at Vsauce on the concept of fixed points in space…
And while you’re still here, why not watch our latest original video? We promise you’ll love it if you and your friendship group love to #StayPeculiar…
