It’s like we’re actually in Rio!

The 2016 Olympic Games are taking place in Rio right now and this year Google have decided to give 15 YouTubers the honour of vlogging the whole thing. We’ve already written about the Olympian who used YouTube to become a gold medallist, but here’s how you can get a behind the scenes look at the exclusive Olympics actions using the trend #CreatorsInRio.

The lucky vloggers have come from all around the world to watch the games in Rio and share their experiences with their subs to give everyone a real taste of what it would be like to be a part of the games. A few of the 15 YouTubers who have been invited to capture the event are: Brodie Smith, Ben Brown, Chloe Morello and Liza Koshy – and it seems like they’ve all been having the time of their lives. We wonder whether there’s any competition going on between the Internet stars as they cheer for their own country though…

However, even though these YouTubers have been invited to film the event, we’re still forgetting about those creators who are actually taking part. Athletes such as Tom Daley, Calvyn Justus, Steele Johnson and Daryll Neita are also vlogging their experience at the Rio Olympics but as actual competitors, and we’re here to give you the low down on each of them.

Tom Daley

Of course you all know Tom Daley; the GB diver who’s already won a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics this year. Watch him tell you all about it in his latest vlog right here.

Calvyn Justus

Calvyn is a professional swimmer from South Africa who’s representing his country at his first ever Olympic Games. Follow him on the first step of his adventure as he heads to Rio in his latest vlog.

Steele Johnson

Steele is a 20-year-old diver competing for Team USA who’s also vlogging his whole Olympic experience. In this vlog, he shows us around the Olympic village – it’s like we’re actually there.

Daryll Neita

Daryll is a 100m sprinter representing Team GB at the Rio Olympics. She is also planning on sharing her experience with her subscribers and we have already seen her training and preparing for her big event.
