We all know that Dan and Phil are kinda having the year of their lives. Whilst we’re all in mourning about every terrible thing 2016 threw at us, these two goofs are releasing books, movies, live tours and NOW… they’re going to be in a freaking Disney TV show! Announced on Twitter and coming to your TV screens in just a couple of days, we can’t wait to see Dan and Phil voice some gorilla princes in the new Disney show, ‘The Lion Guard’!
Dan announced the news of their “mysterious voice acting” last night and obviously the Phandom went crazy. This is probably in no small part thanks to the adorable animated gorilla’s shared next to Dan and Phil’s smiley lil’ faces – meaning we can guess that Dan will be playing the gorilla Majinuni and Phil will be voicing the prince Hafifu.
We took a sleuth through the Wikipedia page to find out more about the show and it looks like the YouTube duo will be in a brand new episode coming to the Disney Junior channel on December the 2nd… SO TOMORROW BASICALLY. Here’s an official description of the show if you’re keen to find out what sort of hijinks the boys will be getting up to as gorilla princes;
“The series centres around Kion, the son of King Simba and Queen Nala, the younger brother of Kiara and the prince of the Pride Lands, who, as second-born to the Lion King, becomes the leader of the Lion Guard a team of animals who protect the Pride Lands and defend the Circle of Life”
Now for Dan and Phil’s part their characters, Majinuni and Hafifu, need the Lion’s Guard to “help two zany gorilla princes return to their home in the snowy Ruwenzori Mountains”… WE’RE SO KEEN FOR THIS EPISODE ALREADY.
