The Internet is possibly the worst place for any kind of spoilers and it’s a struggle to try and escape them whilst scrolling through your newsfeed. This instant nature of the Internet is exactly why the Phandom were extremely thankful when Dan and Phil announced that there were to be no sneak peaks of their USA tour online. The duo went to the extremes to prevent fans from ruining the stage performance and they even insisted that there should be no photography or video footage taken at any of the theatrical shows they have worked so hard to create. But of course, like most things on the Internet, spoilers have been posted and Phans are not happy about it.
Don’t worry though, you will see no TATINOF spoilers here and we Unicorns are not planning on ruining anything for everyone; but unfortunately these tour spoilers are available everywhere and anywhere else online. So far there has been dedicated Tumblr posts with Phans describing in great detail the ins and outs of the stage show and posts of forbidden photographs from inside USA theatres revealing the costumes and stage design that their fans have been so excited to see with their own eyes.
With a following as big as theirs, you would think that Phans would all comply to Dan and Phil’s non-spoiler wishes but their fandom seem to have a adopted a split opinion when it comes to TATINOF. Some have hit out on Twitter enraged that the show that they have been excited to see themselves has been ruined by other like minded members of the fandom. However, others are continuing to post photos from the tour under the general hashtag #TATINOF making it impossible to hide from them.
We’d like to know what you think on the whole spoiler situation, do you think that Phans should respect Dan and Phil’s wishes and not post anything online or do you think it’s okay for those who have already seen the tour to share it with the Phandom? You decide!
