Just in case you missed it, an anonymous man just climbed up Donald Trump‘s Tower in New York using only suction cups. Whilst the Internet tried to unravel the mystery behind #SteveFromVirginia (the identity this climber was assuming until proved otherwise), it looks like our Steve had already posted his reasons on YouTube a day before – in one of the most unsettling video statements we’ve ever seen.
With almost a million views at the time of writing, Steve asks for a “private audience with [Donald Trump] to discuss an important matter”. This matter is never made explicitly clear, but he makes it known that the “reason [he] climbed your Tower was to get [his] attention” because he “would be much less likely to have success” based on how “busy” Trump is. Which, we suppose, isn’t totally crazy – but we still don’t know why he did climb the Tower?!
Well, instead of this being a crazy stunt to convince the hundreds of thousands of people watching on Facebook Live and tweeting along with the events to NOT vote for Trump in the 2016 Elections, Steve from Virginia was actively telling people to go out and vote for Donald. However, before Steve could book in his appointment with Mr Trump, he was literally dragged through a 21st-storey window by the police and promptly put in an ambulance.
After three hours of solid climbing using only suction cups, Steve will be having charges pressed against his stunt – and now it looks as though he won’t be meeting with Donald Trump, after the candidate later tweeted “Great job today by the NYPD in protecting the people and saving the climber”. We’re still waiting on 100% confirmation that “Steve” is the true identity of the climber, but his YouTube tracks are so well-covered that he still remains a mystery to us all…
