Seeing celebrities on YouTube is like seeing a fish out of water – you’ve always wanted to see what happens but you can’t look away from the struggle. That’s exactly how we feel when we normally see celebrities try out a brand new YouTube venture, but when world renowned supermodel Gisele Bündchen turned up on Chanel’s new series, Beauty Talks, we were totally gobsmacked.
As well as Karlie Kloss’ and Jourdan Dunn’s successful YouTube channels, Chanel are the newest beauty brand to branch out into YouTube specific content, but it promises to be the best. Starring Chanel’s very own Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer Lucia Pica, the two beauties share some inside industry tips and tricks to recreate Gisele’s iconic “Brazilian glow” – and you won’t believe how easy it is.
Using only foundation, a cream stick blush and a nude lip liner, viewers can now copy the “natural Gisele Bündchen“ glow that she built her entire career around. If you want to avoid spoilers and see for yourself, read no further! First of all, her most important secret is that she only applies foundation around her mouth, eyes and down her neck to cover up redness/whiteness.
Next up, her sun-kissed cheeks are achieved using a blush dotted across her cheek bones and the bridge of her nose, instead of a bronzer. And finally, her signature pout is created by using a nude/beige lip pencil to define her features. VOILA – do you look like Gisele Bündchen yet?
If you’re keen for more YouTuber X Beauty Brand crossovers, then make sure you check out Jim Chapman‘s newest series with GQ about buying the luxuries in life. It’s a three part series that covers the finest objects in a mans wardrobe – his shirt, his watch and his tie – by travelling around the world and discussing it’s value within society. It’s a fascinating watch (hehehe)!
