We’re approaching the final week before the Presidential election; and there’s no denying that Hillary Clinton seems to have the lion’s share of millennial support. We’ve already talked about some of the YouTubers voting for Clinton, as well as some colourful discussion about it. But for the first time, creators are officially partnering with her campaign; in order to encourage their audiences to make the right choice this election season.
GloZell Green is one of the creators that Hillary Clinton has enlisted.
GloZell has already had some experience chatting to Presidents, after interviewing President Obama last year; and now she believes Clinton is the right choice as his successor.
And how does she prove it? In the best way GloZell knows how; to convince a fan to vote by swimming in a giant swimming pool of Froot Loops.
Todrick Hall has also joined in the support.
The musical star has been wowing Broadway in “Kinky Boots” and guesting on “RuPaul’s Drag Race”; but he always has some time to convince one of his own disenfranchised fans to vote. And of course his own video is peak Todrick; because he fronts a dancing flash mob parade.
And Sam Tsui will be fronting a concert in Clinton’s honour.
Scheduled to be posted on Nov 1st (according to Variety), Sam’s video for the campaign reportedly includes a pop-up concert filmed in Columbus, Ohio. Having recently married his partner Casey Breves, Clinton’s stance on LGBTQ+ rights is definite;y something of a personal interest for this creator.
It’s becoming clearer and clearer that the influence of online creators has a lot of standing in the political climate; but with such a heated election cycle, will the involvement of YouTubers be enough to confirm a Hillary win? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
