There is some serious shade being thrown around…

Just when you thought the Internet had called a day on the Jeffree Star racist accusations, recent drama has brought him straight back into the limelight. Jeffrey has been slammed as a racist on a number of occasions and has been known to spread his negativity as well as allegedly bullying YouTubers.

It recently came to our attention that Kat Von D had publicly denounced her friendship with Jeffree Star. Following recent events, the model/tattoo artist has felt it only necessary to cut all ties with alleged racist Jeffree.

There are those who believe that the past belongs in the past, however some of us refuse to forgive and forget. For Kat Von D, this was the right time to cut one’s losses. She publicly shared a statement via social media explaining her reasons for this and now wishes to disassociate herself from anything Jeffree Star related.

Rumours have been flying about as to what caused this friendship to suddenly end and it comes as no surprise that brand rivalry is one of them. Jeffree Star was introduced to many people through Kat and has since then built a career for himself as a singer and makeup artist. In 2014 he released his own cosmetics brand- Jeffree Star Cosmetics – which has skyrocketed his career.

In a similar vein, Kat also has her own line- famed for its liquid lipsticks and eyeliner- and people have been speculating over whether the pair are full on rivals or whether some major has gone on behind the scenes.

Jeffree has, of course, used social media in a bid to clarify the situation:

Consequently, a number of people have also taken to social media platform Twitter to share their own thoughts and opinions on the current drama, including YouTuber Meghan Tonjes.

Was Kat Von D right to publicly call out Jeffree? Did she have an ulterior motive feeling her brand would lag behind or was she genuinely sick of all the negativity he carries with him? Let us know what you think down in the comments below.
