Yesterday was a big day of announcements for YouTube, including John Green introducing the new and exciting “Community” tab; but if you missed it from the hype surrounding this new feature, he also announced another new project of his own, titled “100 Days”.
Sadly no, it’s not the name of his next novel – but we can’t wait regardless. At the beginning of the new year, John will be embarking on a new and interactive 100 day-long fitness challenge. John and his friend Chris will be eating better, exercising more and following various programs and diets “clinically proven” to improve your quality of life. But the most interesting part about the project is this: instead of setting up new social media profiles for the show, “100 Days” will live entirely on YouTube – with recipes, challenges and live streams all being kept safe and sound under YouTube’s new “Community” tab.
“Starting January 1st, you’ll be able to watch my best friend Chris and me try to have, like, the healthiest mid-life crisis ever,” John explains. “It will all live right here on YouTube – a community platform that also hosts videos.”
We can’t wait to kickstart the new year and join John in his new fitness program! Check out the video below for more info.
