YouTube has brought many things to many people: the chance to front a charity a la Zoe Sugg, world domination for PewDiePie (and a bunch of others) and some brand new baes for Miranda Sings. But Leomie Anderson is on the verge of becoming a Victoria’s Secret angel and it’s thanks, in part, to her vlogging skills.
To give you a bit of background, Leomie is already an established model having worked with super labels like Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood. But it’s her blog and YouTube channel that she believes has helped showcase her personality to casting directors who make the final call on whether she gets a job or not.
“In modeling you’re always being made into someone else’s image; the hair, the makeup, this and that. My blog is where I get to express who I am.” Leomie told Vogue.
When it comes to Victoria’s Secret – shockingly- the brand had already turned her down twice. It was the third casting that secured Leomie the prestigious fashion job and she believes it was because she choose to express her personality a little bit more. Which is exactly what her vlog is all about.
Leomie has over 3,000 subscribers on her channel and covers everything from body confidence, prepping for Victoria’s Secret, beauty hauls and hair tutorials. Part of a growing wave of celebrities and models taking to YouTube, Leomie’s channel gives us a great look into what it means to be a model.
It seems the only way is up for Leomie- both for her modelling career and subscriber count!
