Ever since Marina Joyce was thrust into the public eye, she’s not been given an easy ride thanks to multiple conspiracies about her safety and mental health. Her existence as a real, innocent human being was attacked again this week after her Instagram was hacked and defaced following a password leak on Twitter.
Her real account, which now goes by @marinajoycemeowmeow, was hacked into by hundreds of people over the last 24 hours after her password was leaked over Twitter and in various YouTube videos. Creators such as Scarce even admits to testing out the password to see if it worked (which it did), but refused to take it any further after it required him to hack into her emails to verify his identity as Marina – someone he clearly wasn’t.
As the hack was live, users on Twitter shared images of what the leak had done to Marina’s Instagram profile – and how it had seemingly been turned into Suicide Squad appreciation page. On one particular image, the hacker was even open about the new profile management, stating quite bluntly that “I’m not Marina I will use this account, fashion, fun, funny, i used to shares. This is not a problem, right? Please tell me your username ideas”.
Whilst these Harley Quinn images have now been removed, it’s still unclear whether Marina has full control of her account yet. Unfortunately, hundreds of fake accounts have been set up in light of the password leak, each claiming to be the true Marina. We’ll keep this article updated as more information comes out, but we’ll leave the final word with a concerned Twitter fan; “People need to chill and leave the poor girl alone” – Amen!
