Markiplier is making 2017 one of the most positive and life-affirming years ever so far. After being spotted at one of the Women’s Marches over the weekend, Mark just launched a brand new GoFundMe campaign in which he’s fundraising vital money for the Human Rights Campaign – and he’s absolutely SMASHED his target in less than 24 hours.
In addition to having one of the top trending campaigns on GoFundMe right now, Mark also did a livestream over on his YouTube channel to raise awareness of his actions in addition to trying to encourage even more donations from his fans. Whilst we can’t recap the entire show, we would like to share one little tiny moment with you which only the people who watched the stream will understand… #MarkIsATool.
On the GoFundMe home page, Mark explains why he has set up the brand new fundraising event: “Today we stand by our LGBTQ+ friends to ensure equality for EVERYONE! Please help us raise $100,000 for the Human Rights Campaign to ensure the future stays bright and open for all!”. It seems like fans have really connected to his positive message, because within just one hour of the livestream beginning, y’all had already raised “almost $30k”.
Mark has also donated $1,000 of his own money to the event, so we can’t wait to see what sort of figure is raised by the end of the fundraising window. For Mark however, this is just another successful and life-changing charitable act he can add to his resume, having raised over $275k for Depression and Bipolar Support in the past, PLUS over $70k for St. Judes.
Mark’s GoFundMe and fundraising page is still very much active, and if you want to head over and donate any amount of money regardless of how small you will be helping out such a worthwhile cause.
