The Internet makes us all passive participants when it comes to consuming digital media, so much so that you often forget that the people and places we watch actually exist!
Well, after an incredible year that saw a 90% growth in content on YouTube alone, Mumbai has finally opened up their first YouTube Space in the heart of India!
This launch follows a boom in online production from India with the inspiration to inspire and teach further creators across the country to develop their video skills.
The YouTube Space was debuted with Mumbai-based YouTube star Aakash Gandi (138k subs, +40m views) with his newest video, a mashup of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean and A.R Rahman’s Jiya Re. You can see the breath taking performance below!
The Space works collaboratively with Whistling Woods International, a renowned film school keen to give YouTube creators and students alike the tools to reach their imaginative dreams.
Mumbai’s YouTube Space is the 9th production area to open since 2012 with plans to expand to more cities on the very peak of digital distribution. We made a handy graphic for you in case you want to know where the others are!
