With PewDiePie’s current game, Tuber Simulator, sitting nicely at the top of the mobile download charts after smashing 1 million downloads in only 24 hours, it’s definitely time for Felix to take further steps into the world of video game development. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait too long as he’s already signed up a deal with one of the creators of Goat Simulator to get the project going!
In case you didn’t already know, Goat Simulator is an indie game that took the gaming world by storm back in 2014. Based on the ridiculous concept of pretending to be a goat, coupled with its hilariously broken physics engine, Goat Simulator quickly became a “MUST PLAY” title for all Let’s Play channel on YouTube. And, you guessed, PewDiePie played it first way back in March 2014. You can see his video below:
The game’s lead designer, Armin Ibrisagic, has secured a deal with PewDiePie’s YouTuber network Revelmode to produce more games – and honestly, we can’t freaking wait to see what they come up with. All we know so far is that Felix is heavily involved with the creative output of the game, and there’s a strong chance that it will be made with the Let’s Play community in mind.
In a press release, Felix said that “It’s all HAPPENING for Revelmode – with more to come… Working with Armin is a match made in heaven. His vision and sense of humour fits Revelmode perfectly. We’re proud and excited to have him on board and can’t wait to share what we’ll create!”. TBH, we just wanna play Goat Simulator with a PewDiePie skin over the top – it would be hilarious.
Thanks to Revelmode hosting some of the biggest creators on YouTube, such as Markiplier/JackSepticEye/KickThePJ/Marzia, there’s a strong chance that their combined audience of over 100 million followers will help to make these new games a screaming success.
