Look, we’re not going to patronise you. We all know what happened with PewDiePie (and if you don’t you can go catch up on the full story right here), but after business between him and Disney was severed following some anti-semitic jokes, it’s looks like more damage was done than we expected. Felix just confirmed in a new video that his business, Revelmode, has also been shutdown.
Felix admits that this move wasn’t mentioned in the media or during this response videos because he tried “to keep it in the back”. Unfortunately for him and all the other YouTubers signed to the network (such as Markiplier, Emma Blackery, KickThePJ and more), Revelmode “doesn’t exist anymore”.
Felix explains in more details below why Revelmode is gone, and why he’s still hiring.
After being cut from Disney and seeing his second season of Scare PewDiePie cancelled before premiering on YouTube Red, Felix admits that losing Revelmode is “probably the worst thing with this whole thing going down”. After working on it “for three or four years”, it seems truly upsetting to Felix for his business to be taken away from him as he worked desperately hard behind the scenes trying to get it to a level he could be proud to start to show off on his channel.
However, because Revelmode is gone, Felix is now looking to expand his team and start working on wider projects again after admitting that he does not have videos in advance for his channel; “YouTube is a daily grind for me… It’s stupid, I shouldn’t be doing this”. Hopefully with an extra hand on his team we’ll see Felix generate more ideas for his channel after being criticised that he has ran out of them.
