So 2016 has been a mega-year for YouTubers so far, with awards and TV shows happening basically everyday. To this very prestige list of ‘Tubers that are heading straight for mainstream success, we can now count in Savannah Brown as she announces the release of her very first poetry book, Graffiti (and other poems).
The book is available for pre-order at a cost of £9.99 from the 11th of February from Savannah’s personal Big Cartel store with an official release date planned for early March 2016. All pre-ordered copies will be signed and will feature poems of “life, love, death (sometimes love and death), and moles”, plus there will be additional illustrations from Ed Stockham. You can watch her announcement poem below.
On her Big Cartel site, Sav describes what her book is all about, and how it “contains some of my favourite things that I’ve written between ages seventeen and nineteen. As I’m sure you can imagine, due to the chaotic nature of one’s mind between ages seventeen and nineteen, graffiti goes just about everywhere and back again. Lovingly haphazard, I’d like to describe it”.
We spotlighted Savannah in the past as one of our ‘YouTubers To Watch In 2016’ based on her style and intellectual delivery of YouTube slam poetry. One of her most recognised videos was inspired by Nash Grier and his distasteful video about what men look for in women. Her message about ignoring clueless people and learning to love yourself is one of the main reasons we cannot wait to pick up her inspirational poetry book.
As a small teaser, Savannah has released the first 6 pages of her book for everyone to get nice and excited over, so take a look and remember to pop your preorders into her personal merchandise store!
