As if there wasn’t enough buzz surrounding Summer In The City after Comic Con giant MCM’s acquisition of it, the UK’s biggest YouTube event just got bigger – by roughly a whole bus load.
As part of the push for this year’s event, taking place in London in August, SitC has taken out some ad space across the side of London’s iconic red double-decker buses. Posters featuring familiar faces from the YouTube community can be spotted on the roads of SitC’s home city for the next two weeks – and finding them all could result in some awesome prizes.
With SitC to begin rolling out this year’s line-up of guests this week, the buses are giving Londoners a preview of who they might run into at the ExCeL centre in August. Four versions of the poster can be found, featuring a total of 10 YouTubers on the lineup. And even better – the first ten people to tweet photos of all four buses to @SummerInTheCity will win a pair of tickets to the event!
With many fans running through the streets of London in the hopes of hunting down all four, excited YouTubers who appear in the ads have been giving them some clues:
According to the event’s page, even if you can’t find all four buses, you’ll still be entered into a draw for one of 20 pairs of event tickets being given out at random – if you Tweet at least one picture to SitC. So no matter what, there’s a chance to win!
Just make sure you’re sharing your own photos – because they’ll know…
You’ve got two weeks from now to find all four; so happy hunting! Keep your eyes peeled here for more announcements on this year’s Summer in the City guest lineup.
