The YouTuber diss-track has become the weapon of choice to hit back at rival creators, as of late. KSI and the Sidemen have been at it, as have Jake Paul and his brother Logan. But Caspar Lee has had enough, and is attempting to turn the tables on the diss-track trend in a pretty awesome way.
Here’s how Caspar Lee is switching it up
On August 19th, the South African vlogger rallied together his own squad of creators to drop the sickest response to the current spate of rap-based negativity.
Utilising the hashtag #PositivityOverNegativity, Caspar and Conor Maynard unveiled their “compliment track” – a song dedicated to saying nice things about the successes of all the main players in the beef.
Check out the compliment track below:
So far, the only person referenced in the video to respond is Deji, who described the video as “sick” in a reaction video shared yesterday. While everyone else seems to be taking their beef pretty seriously, at least he seems to be able to laugh.
Now, positive diss tracks are becoming a trend
JacksFilms challenged his viewers to give him names of other creators to spit some positive bars about. In the resulting video, which is currently trending at #2 on YouTube, Jack has nice things to say about everyone from Dodie, to the Pauls; and even drama-magnet RiceGum.

Can we expect to see more positivity on YouTube from here on in? Let’s be real, probably not. But for now, we’ll take all the niceness we can get; especially when it’s as catchy as this.
