Another day, another upset within the YouTube community – but this time it’s way too personal. A bunch of YouTubers ranging from VelvetGh0st to Emma Blackery have all reached out about their troubles on Twitter this week now that their personal phone number has been leaked onto the Internet.
Whilst this certainly isn’t the first time this has happened, we really hope it’s the last time as hugely popular YouTubers such as Louise Pentland and Caspar Lee have even been targeted in the past.
This isn’t the first time YouTuber’s have had their privacy compromised in their lives, with people thinking it was a good idea to turn up to Zoe and Alfie’s new house and knock on the doors.
A flood of support from other creators have come to Gabriella’s rescue to let her know that something bad is happening in the community and that they would figure it out together.
The point still remains however that YouTubers have been directly targeted by hackers this week and we truly hope no more creators fall victim to this trend. We’ll let you know if this story continues any further.
