Literal blood, sweat and tears.

Everyone loves a bargain; so if you saw a $1 prom dress you'd likely snap it up, even if you didn't have anywhere to wear it. For less than the price of coffee, you can own a ballgown fit for any fancy event - and then blow the rest of your budget on champagne/a limo/YouTuber merch. Sounds amazing, right? Well, think again; because if these YouTubers' experiences are anything to go by, then cheap eBay prom dresses are not the way forward....

$1 prom dresses

Prepare to hear some pretty bad horror stories.

Bethany Leigh - Trying On $1 Prom Dresses

Bethany ordered three cheap eBay prom dresses; and the results varied from dreadful to outright gross. As well as being ripped off and sent a literal tiny piece of cloth, one of the dresses also had blood on it. If your gag reflex can stand it, click play on the video below.

Millie T - Trying On $3 Prom Dresses

Millie had a major problem with every one of these dresses - they were all either see through or showed way too much skin. To see the results, check out the video.

Ayexmadeline - Trying On $5 Prom Dresses

Surprisingly, the $5 prom dresses are a lot better; and you could absolutely alter some of these and wear them to prom. Check out the black and blue one, which we think looks stunning.

Katie Betzing - Trying on $5 eBay Dresses

As well as cheap prom dresses, this video also features some summer dresses Katie bought on eBay. Whilst one floaty white dress looked promising, there was a very gross twist...

Beautyqueen18 - Trying on Amazon Prom Dresses

Who knew Amazon did prom dresses? Unlike Bethany Leigh's experience of $1 prom dresses from eBay, this experience goes a lot better. This video proves that sometimes it really is worth taking a chance on a too-good-to-be-true bargain.
