He’s been on YouTube from the very beginning and this week our boy hit 3 million subscribers. We’re not crying, you’re crying.

We’re pretty much like proud parents and we couldn’t be happier for Phil and his unbelievable success. From uploading his first video in March 2006, it’s amazing to see how far he’s come. He’s gone from being the scene, awkward vlogger to one of the most established British YouTubers, not to mention a radio host and more recently, a published author.

To celebrate Phil’s incredible milestone this week, we’re journeying back and reminding ourselves of his 5 most popular uploads. Surprise surprise the “phil is not on fire” videos take up a large majority. We don’t even want to know what our lives would be if fate never brought these two cat-whiskered idiots together.

5). Dan and Phil PUNK EDITS IN REAL LIFE – 4.6 million views

Phil trawled the depths of Tumblr and uncovered various images where users have photoshopped himself and Dan to look like punks. Being the angels that they are, they answered our prayers and decided to recreate the looks in real life. With sleeve tattoos and fake septum piercings, this video is everything we could ever have wanted and more.

The Lizard Song is now available on iTunes.

2). Phil is not on fire 5 – 5.3 million views

We’re trying to figure out a way of making the slow-mo of Dan shaking his hair our screensaver.
