It’s always inspiring when you read stories of successful artists. How they had always dreamed of being a big singer all their lives and suddenly they find their big break. It’s even more fascinating following their journey yourself when the entire thing is documented on their YouTube channel.
Troye Sivan went from being a timid 12 year old who uploaded covers to his YouTube channel (we ❤️ Baby Troye) to an international superstar with a HUGE fanbase.
We just love him and his videos because they always have us in hysterics and they’re frighteningly relatable. But if you were to asked to guess which uploads racked up the most views, would you be able to tell? Scroll down and see!
5). 1D Tattoos With Tyler Oakley – 4.4 million views
This videos tugs right at our OTP heart strings. Tyler and Troye have such amazing chemistry they really should present their own TV show. We always crack up at Tyler’s reaction to Troye not having the faintest idea how to apply fake tattoos.
4). Coming Out – 6 million views
It’s no surprise this video made the Top 5. Troye came out to his family on the 7th of August 2010 and came out to the YouTube community on the 7th of August 2013. Troye’s articulate and straight-forward speech is so important to his LGBT audience, and this video is a must-see for anyone who’s struggling with their sexuality.
3). The Fault In Our Stars (Official Music Video) – 6.1 million views
We challenge you to watch this video without bursting into an uncontrollable frenzy of tears. Reading John Green’s The Fault In Our Stars had a significant effect on Troye and prompted him to write a song based on the book’s message. He then visits his local children’s hospital to shoot the music video. Watching Troye give the children one day off from their lives of nothing but pain and treatments will make your heart ache in a way it hasn’t done before.
2). Waxing My Legs With Zoella – 6.5 million views
This video gives us so much joy. We highly commend Troye for even entertaining the idea of letting Zoella wax his (surprisingly hairy) legs, never mind doing a Q&A at the same time. We crack up at the bit where he falls into the bath every time.
1). Happy Little Pill (Official Music Video)- 8 millions views
When we were anticipating Troye’s first single, we knew we wouldn’t be disappointed – and we weren’t. This song hits a nerve with so many people, especially those suffering (or know someone suffering) from a mental illness.
Oh Troye you couldn’t have come into our lives soon enough.
