Hint: bad.

With the pace that technology evolves - and dies (RIP Vine), it can be easy to forget that some of your favourite sites have been plugging away for well over a decade. If, as the saying goes, a week is a long time in politics, then a week is fifty years in social media redesign time. Take a gander at how some of the (now) biggest websites in the world measured up all the way back in twenty-oh-seven:

You know what's better than a million viral videos on your feed? A billion zero viral videos on your feed.

Long before Twitter became the place where the future President would comment on the relationships of Twilight actors, the site was still trying to find its feet.

Also, this was the original Twitter logo ... seriously

Back when the website was known as 'Twttr', a  designer was asked to whip up a logo in just one day. This is what they produced. Needless to say, it didn't last very long.

As clunky as this looks, it's still easier to navigate that whatever YouTube has become in recent years.

And YouTube channels themselves

Ahh memories.

Seems pretty good tbh.

Bonus: here's what Google looked like in 1998
