We the Unicorns

By Hollie-Anne Brooks

Last week we wrote about how to get the most Tumblr hair of all; rainbow unicorn hair. And it got us thinking, our auburn locks are all well and good but we needed to live our best life. Surely all unicorns have rainbow hair?

So we went on a mission, as always, to try and recreate some of our favourite YouTube tutorials and report back on how they turned out. This time, we tackled hair chalks for a quick, temporary injection of colour. If the likes of Helen Anderson, Aspyn Ovard and Shaanxo could do it then so could we!

Here's how we got on...

First, we got our equipment ready. Side note: we quite enjoyed wearing the latex gloves...

We did this face when we opened the box, too.

Then, we got on with applying the chalks just like Helen does. Except we forgot a towel so we used kitchen paper. YOLO.

That'll do.

Then, we got on with curling the hair to secure the colour. Check out our sexy concentration face.

So far, so good. This isn't a normal feeling for us...

And the final result...

No sarcastic comment needed.

So how do we rate it?

Ease: 9/10. If you've got dark hair, like us, not every colour will show up so go for the bolder shades.

Reality or fantasy: REALITY!

Did we get coloured chalk all over our clothes: Yes, yes we did.

Which tutorials should we try next? Let us know in the comments below.
