Dinosaurs, Cacti DIY And Evil Toffee Apples - Weekly Round-Up 23/10
23 October 2015, 14:46
The best of every genre from this week’s YouTube, all in one handy list!
How is it basically winter? And when did it get so cold and dark? And OMG we haven't got our Halloween costume sorted yet because there's SO MUCH CHOICE. Speaking of so much choice, there's been a ton of new videos uploaded this week (as usual) and luckily for you, we've done a round-up of the best out there.
Let's jump right in...
Matthew Potter - Jurassic World - Sweded Trailer
Imaging if Jurassic World
was real had been made on a super low budget with no snazzy after effects and dinos made from cardboard. Well, that's what this video is. And the result is probably the funniest thing you'll see all week.
Corrine Leigh - DIY Poison Apples
Who needs the toffee apple when you've got poison apples? In this video, Corrine takes us on a journey of food discovery as she navigates her way through using activated charcoal (tastes like crap) and black food colouring that looks red (tastes amazing). We reckon these would be incredible with some ghoulish candy stuck to them and some edible glitter.
SoothingSista - DIY Cactus Costume
When you think about it, cactus is a pretty easy thing to be at Halloween; your legs/feet are the pot, your arms and head are the cactus itself. Plus this tutorial contains pipe cleaners and we haven't used them for about 20 years. Score!
CandySomething - "I Am Malala" by Malala Yousafzai | Review
In what will no doubt become one of the most defining books of our generation, CandySomething - AKA Candice - has reviewed the book and let us in on the story. Written by the Nobel Prize Winner herself, "I am Malala" tells the tell of how the young girl survived life in a war state and pioneered girls' rights to an education, despite being shot by the Taliban.
Lily Melrose - October Primark Haul 2015
When it comes to hauls, you know what you're getting. But there's something even more special about Primark hauls as you can't shop the store online. And apart from a few previews on their site, it's hard to see what's actually in store so these videos come in handy. Lily's haul had us all *heart eyes emoji* and needing that Marvel t-shirt so much!
ThatcherJoeGames - WHO WILL SURVIVE? | Until Dawn #10/Ending
If you've been following Joe Sugg's Until Dawn series for the last two weeks, you'll be both sad and happy that it's now come to an end. But what an ending it was! In this half-hour video we see Joe trying to save as many people as possible but, ultimately, it has fatal consequences. If this video doesn't make you want to pick up a copy of the game, nothing will.
Troye Sivan - Take Me Down
The final instalment of Blue Neighbourhood is epic to say that least. Following on the story from his previous two music videos, the final piece of the puzzle reveals a surprise element that left us in shock. And, of course, the song is brilliant too.
