We the Unicorns

By Hollie-Anne Brooks

It's fairly safe to say we're big Pentatonix fans and when they upload their cover of The Biebs' "Where Are U Now" a couple of days ago, we went into a bit of a spin. Dare we say it but we think it's up there with their best ever work.

If you're new to Pentatonix and acapella in general, YouTube has millions of hours worth of videos- the good, the exceptional and the dodgy! From covers to original songs, huge groups to duos, the list is endless. We've been having a serious acapella moment and singing along (badly) to all our favourite acapella covers. Here's what we're loving right now...

Roar by Katy Perry - Andy Lange, Chester See, Andrew Garcia, Josh Golden

And yes, that is Hannah Hart, Mamrie Hart and Grace Helbig at the start of the video.

See You Again by Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth - Mike Tompkins

We might have shed a tear at this cover if we weren't so in awe of Mike's crazy skills.

Flashlight By Jessie J - Emma Heesters and Mike Attinger

Jessie J's Pitch Perfect song gives us all the feels to start with but Emma and Mike's vocal-only take on it takes it to the next level.

Emotions by Destiny's Child - Alexa Goddard

Way back in the 90s, this was the track to sob over when you fell out with your boo. Alexa's beautiful acapella version gives the track a thoroughly modern feel.

Shut Up And Dance By Walk The Moon - Alex G and Mike Tompkins

Take the catchiest song of the year and turn it into this acapella version and you have the song which will stay in your head for about the next 11 years. We can't get enough!
