What YouTubers Think Of… Star Wars Battlefront
17 November 2015, 17:26 | Updated: 17 July 2017, 12:11
Let's just assume that everyone here knows what a "Star Wars" is. We all saw the movies, we all hated Jar Jar Binks and we all cried "WHERE'S LUKE?" at the newest trailers. So what else is there for us to talk about?!
Well, fear not. There's a new Star Wars game on the horizon and by the looks of the YouTube reactions, it's nothing short of excellent.
So without further ado, We The Unicorns are happy to present our newest gaming series - "YouTubers' Reacts"!
First things first, the official EA gameplay trailer to whet your appetite before the feast...
You can just about smell the nerd excitement from here. With gripping scenes of action from the surface of Hoth, Endor and the newest planet to the cannon, Sullust, it's time to see how the Beta was received on YouTube. And most importantly, if it's worth you spending your hard earned monies on when the game is released later this week...
FIRST REVIEW: JackFrags (a.k.a 'The Expert')
I mean, if you're looking for a review that tells you exactly how it is, look no further. JackFrag serves us up 9 minutes of glorious FPS, interstellar heaven to gorge over. He's clearly a massive fan of the series both on and off the console, but most importantly he holds a special place in his heart for playing as Boba Fett. Which is KEY INFORMATION for your purchasing decision.
SECOND REVIEW: VideoGamer (a.k.a 'The Troll')
This video is Troll City and MUST be taken with a pinch of salt. Assuming the role of 'Bryan Cranst - Indie Game Developer Extraordinaire', we're taken through 4 of the most amazing facts you will ever hear (and will never believe) about Star Wars Battlefront. It's stupid but hilarious, and somehow sells the game better than most.
THIRD REVIEW: VanossGaming (a.k.a 'The Comedian')
What's a YouTube Let's Play video without some hilarity? Dull and unwatched, that's what. Forget the days when you'd have to play a game for hours and wait patiently for funny things to happen to you. Just click on the video above and see a charmingly edited lolz compilation to save you both time and money!
FOURTH REVIEW: GameSprout (a.k.a 'The Fun one')
What does GameSprout bring to the table that Vanoss couldn't, I hear you cry?! Well, sound effects and cultural references pretty much. If you're not a fan of listening to other people have fun with games, watch GameSprout instead and enjoy the laughs without the crowd control or peer-pressure to join in with the narrators hijinks.
FIFTH REVIEW: TheLeafyfille (a.k.a 'The MLG')
Last but certainly not least, is the ridiculously well edited MLG reviewer - The Leafyfille. Absolutely chock-a-bloc with gaming memes and jokes, TLF mocks the original gameplay trailer to create a new game entirely - and one I'm not ashamed to say I would love to play. See Also: Illuminati Confirmed and Snoop Dogg.
THE UNICORN ROUND-UP:
POSITIVE: It's Star Wars for godsake, that alone should make you want to buy it. It lets you run around with blasters and lightsabers whilst you try to flee from Darth Vader and an AT-AT. This game is life.
NEGATIVE: It's a carbon copy of other FPS games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield. The frame-rate is terrible and multiplayer gets incredibly dull after a while. There's really only so long you can stare at space rocks for.
Final Score: The game promises fun for the first few hours, but as we've only seen the Multiplayer Beta, we can't promise the story campaign will be very good. All aboard the Hype train.
