We the Unicorns

Here's your official review of the year in music videos!

The end of nigh and by the end we just mean 2015 of course. And what a year it's been in terms of music! Unless Bruno Mars drops another Uptown Funk on us weeks before the very end, it's safe to say the following videos were most viewed/most shared/most talked about music videos of 2015.

From whipping and nae nae-ing to belting out "Hello from the OUTSIIIIIIIIIDE" it's been one hell of a year. Thanks guys.

10).Silentó - Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)

Praise the Lord! 2015 has brought us a brand new viral dance routine that we can all make shows of ourselves to when it comes on in the nightclub at 1am. We've had the Superman down since 2007 so we were only delighted to whip (heh) it out again.

9). Fifth Harmony - Worth It ft. Kid Ink

Bless the gals of Fifth Harmony for bringing us a certifiable banger that doubles as a feminist anthem. Thanks to them we have young impressionable girls all around the world, loudly declaring that they're worth it. Because we damn well are chicas.

8). Sia - Elastic Heart feat. Shia LaBeouf & Maddie Ziegler

Featuring Shia LaBeouf and Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler, the dance-fight style of this video sparked a lot of controversy following many people accusing it of having pedophiliac undertones. Sia defended the video saying she hired Shia and Maddie to represent "Sia" in two conflicting states. Tbh all we can focus our attention on is Maddie's moves. How can one human be so goddamn bendy?

7). David Guetta - Hey Mama (Official Video) ft Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack

If we found a super mysterious device in the middle of the desert that brought about a Nicki Minaj apparition we'd probably go beserk and start pulling all these crazy moves too, ya know?

6). Adele - Hello

No words needed. Except that THE QUEEN IS BAAAAAACK.

5). Taylor Swift - Bad Blood ft. Kendrick Lamar

It's the video that confirmed that Taylor Swift has the largest squad in Hollywood history. It must good to know you have so many pals in the music industry when you're trying to break records for how many cameos can you fit into 4 minutes and 4 seconds.

4). Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do

Being the theme song to one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, it's no surprise this video gathered so much buzz. It seems a bit strange that Ellie spends a lot of this video rolling around an empty mansion by herself while Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson get to passionately make out in elevators and go on helicopter rides. But there you have it.

3). Major Lazer & DJ Snake - Lean On (feat. MŘ)

The video for this song is set in Vasai in Maharashtra after Major Lazer were inspired by the devotion of their Indian fans following a recent tour there. We don't know about you but it's probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing videos we've ever seen.

2). Maroon 5 - Sugar

We're thinking - judging by the bride and grooms stunned reactions - that Adam Levine did not ask permission before spontaneously performing at these weddings but idk, they seemed like they kinda enjoyed it.

1).Wiz Khalifa - See You Again ft. Charlie Puth [Official Video] Furious 7 Soundtrack

Following the tragic and untimely death of Paul Walker in 2013, the Furious 7 film could have seen a more fitting theme song than this absolutely stunning tribute from Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa. Charlie Puth stepped up to write the chorus as the subject was close to his heart, having lost a close friend in a car crash a number of years ago. It's safe to say that the song (and the video) hits a serious chord with anyone who's ever lost a loved one.
