Videos with titles like "ASIAN WHITE GIRL" have not been well received

YouTuber Alexandra Peirce is under fire for a series of videos in which she talks obsessively about "wanting to be asian".

Peirce has released videos with titles like: "IM DYING TO BE ASIAN", in which she claims to be obsessed with "Asian stuff" and says things like "I love going [to the mall] and being amongst Asian people." There is also a video in which she refers to herself as 'ASIAN WHITE GIRL'.

These videos have been criticised by YouTuber Sarah Cheung, who took to social media to label Peirce's output "blatantly racist." Cheung said: "I'm kind of bothered by this, because I think she's either genuinely just ignorant that is considered very racist, or she does it on purpose to be clickbaity. Videos like 'IM DYING TO BE ASIAN' are going to get a load of views. Of course there's a problem with it."

Cheung also highlighted Peirce's obsession with being a 'Chinese billionaire's daughter' - particularly because Peirce used an image of a Korean woman as an example of one.
