"If he truly is innocent, why has he not addressed it?"

Alfie Deyes has released a statement regarding the allegations that family vlogger Chris Ingham sent inappropriate messages to a 16-year-old fan while on a trip to Disney World last year.

In a note posted to Twitter back in July, the accuser alleged that Chris encouraged her to sneak out and meet him alone at 2am while they both were staying at the resort. She wrote: "He then kept asking me if I could sneak out of my family's hotel room to go for walks with him between midnight and 2am" and "he messaged me multiple times saying how I was so beautiful and pretty and asking me why I didn't have loads of boyfriends at home."

Chris has since denied the allegations. But last night (Aug 9) Alfie Deyes, who is friendly with Chris and his family (they've made at least one video with Zoella before), has said he personally contacted Chris about the allegations (and other allegations that have since been made) and claims Chris has not replied to his last message and that "This behaviour is NOT welcome in this community and we need to stand against it".

The statement reads:

"The allegations made from so many different young girls against Chris Ingham are so shocking! Over the past month or so more and more messages & stories are coming out. How long is it going to be until he actually talks about this!? This behaviour is NOT welcome in this community and we need to stand against it. If he truly is innocent, why has he not addressed it? If someone made these allegations against me, regardless of legal advice etc, the FIRST thing I'd do is make a video proving my innocence.

Just so everyone is aware, I have already reached out personally to Chris twice via text in which he has chosen not to reply to my latest message (a week ago)"

Alfie is not the only YouTuber to call out Chris Ingham. Writing on her Twitter, Louise Pentland said that: "I've been really disturbed by some of the things I've read this week about an older male YTer allegedly having inappropriate DM chats with a 16 year old girl. If you are under 18 and EVER feel uncomfortable like this, contact @NSPCC for advice and support."

Chris Ingham was supposed to be appearing at Summer in the City this weekend but pulled out "as a result of the stress these false reports have caused the whole family".
