Former YouTuber Austin Jones, 26, has plead guilty to convincing underage female fans to send him sexually explicit material.
As Tubefilter reports, fans began to raise the alarm as far back as 2015, when it became apparent that he was messaging underage fans and asking them to send him twerking videos. He then posted a video on his YouTube channel admitting to this, but insisting the videos never went beyond dancing.
However, in June 2017 he was arrested and charged with two counts of child pornography after admitting to investigators that he had explicit conversations with underage girls, and was aware that they were underage at the time. He has now plead guilty to one of these counts.
Jones’ plea agreement, which his lawyers have produced to try and limit his sentence (cooperating with the court can reduce prison time), Jones reveals that his behaviour was far more devious than first suspected. The 27-page document reveals inappropriate conversations he had with over 30 female fans from 2010 to 2017.
Jones frequently asked fans in these chats to send him photos or videos of themselves performing graphic sexual acts, to prove to him that they were his “biggest fans.”
He also asked several girls to talk about their age while they performed sex acts on camera, removing any doubt that he knew exactly what he was doing.
What will his sentence be?
The crimes he is charged with come with a minimum sentence of five years behind bars, and the court will now have to decide if they want to increase that punishment. He could potentially get up to twenty years in prison.
