We cannot get over Tanya's dress!
The 2016 Awards Season is nearing a dramatic conclusion as one of the most 'open' film seasons for many years has the entire world buzzing, especially after last nights BAFTAs. But nothing had us buzzing at Unicorns HQ more than seeing loads of our favourite British YouTubers walk the red carpet and confirm their status as more than just your everyday vloggers.
Attending the exclusive Lancome UK pre-dinner event as well as strutting their stuff down the iconic red carpet was Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman, Fleur De Force, Estee LaLonde, Hazel Hayes, Helen Anderson and Pixiwoo. And if you think you looked good on Valentine's Day, then we have some news for you because these 'Tubers looked incredible.
At the actual BAFTA award ceremony on Valentine's Day, YouTubers weren't the only winners in attendance with Leonardo DiCaprio hyping up the entire world for his hopeful Oscar win by cleaning up the Best Actor AND Best Film awards. The director, Alejandro G Inarritu (who also won Best Director), said that Leo's "talent and commitment" to the film had kept it "breathing".
Other awards went to Kate Winslet for her supporting role in the Steve Jobs biopic, Amy was awarded the Best Documentary and Mad Max took home four awards for Make-up, Editing, Costumes and Production Design. Outside of the BAFTA presentation however, Hazel Hayes was mixing with the legendary British broadcaster Stephen Fry. Hazel posted the whole interview onto to YouTube channel, which you can watch below!
In between all the glitz and glamour of the BAFTA awards, Twitter and Instagram was abuzz with selfies and pap-shots of our favourite YouTubers walking the carpet and mixing with high profile movie stars. From Helen's gorgeous ashy curls all the way to Jim's dapper suit, here are some of our favourite snaps from the weekend.
