We're SO proud of Carrie for this charitable cut!
YouTubers are SUCH charitable people. With charity drives on Twitch, game jams and simple Call To Actions, we've seen YouTubers donate millions worth of money to incredibly worthwhile causes. A little while back, we announced that the wonderful Carrie Hope Fletcher was planning on chopping all her hair off in order to raise money for charity as well. Well... she's only gone and done it!
As one of the most inspirational YouTubers on the planet, Carrie decided that when her lasting role as Eponine in the West End show Les Miserables ended she wanted all her hair to be cut off. She set up a JustGiving page and raised a whopping Ł13k worth of donations to go towards Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity from her fans.

In addition to this, she donated all 7+ inches of her hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illnesses. We're so full of feels right now.
On her charity page, Carrie talks about what inspired her to cut off her recognisable hair, citing John Green as her motivation; “I’d like to thank John Green for letting me know this was something I could do via his VlogBrothers video. His book ‘TFIOS’ is a favourite of mine and the actress, Shailene Woodley, playing Hazel in the film adaptation, cut her hair for the role and donated it to charity which sparked off the campaign #HairForHazel".
