WARNING: Upsetting content.
Yesterday we reported on the shock murder of YouTube star and The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie. The 22 year old was gunned down in front of fans and staff at the Florida venue where she'd been supporting pop punk band Before You Exit. The sensational singer was signing autographs and meeting dedicated fans when her killer struck, shooting her in the head before being tackled by Christina's brother and turning the gun on himself.
As further details of the case have emerged, we can now reveal that Christina was seemingly killed at the hands of a "deranged fan". Police have revealed that 27 year old Kevin Loibl is the man responsible for the killing. Further details of the situation have come to light and it has been claimed that Loibl was found with two guns on him and hunting knife.
It is believed the killer had no previous connection to Christina Grimmie but evidence suggests he sent out that evening, travelling over 100 miles to her concert, to kill the star.

Potentially the most saddening aspect of this entire story is that Christina apparently greeted her killer with open arms and went to embrace him in a hug before he shot her dead.
At the home the killer shared with his parents in Florida, a sign was mounted to the front door which read: "Deepest sorrow for lost to the family, friends & fans of the very talented, loving Christina Grimmie. No further comments"
The venue where Christina was playing on the night of her death officially ban weapons but have no metal detectors at the event and it is believed pat-down searches did not take place on the night. Obviously this leads to a wider security issue around YouTuber and celebrity security and VidCon have released a statement reassuring fans and creators that they're stepping up their security measures further.
We were already planning increased security at VidCon 2016, but our security team is reviewing all plans now. We will keep you informed.— VidCon (@VidCon) June 11, 2016
As the world mourns the death of an incredibly talented young woman, further tributes have continued to pour in from celebrities and YouTube stars who were lucky enough to either personally know Christina or, like most of us, be a fan of her incredible talent.
