BREAKING: YouTuber Christina Grimmie Has Been Fatally Shot

Here's how the story unfolded.
It's with a heavy heart that we report on the untimely passing of YouTube star and The Voice US contestant Christina Grimmie. Aged just 22, the singing sensation was reportedly shot in the head by a man who opened fire when she was meeting fans after a concert in Orlando, Florida. Christina's heroic brother managed to tackle the suspect who then turned the gun on himself and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was initially reported that Christina was conscious when taken to hospital but Orlando police sadly confirmed the news of her death on Twitter.

After news came to light of the shooting, fans and YouTubers flocked to social media to send their prayers and thoughts using the hashtag #PrayforChristina. According to people inside the venue, Christina was signing autographs and selling merchandise to fans of all ages when the murderer struck. He was later found to be have two guns on him.
Christina rose to fame after launching her YouTube channel in 2009 aged just 15 and amassing over 3 million subscribers to date. Christina's incredible covers of pop songs caught the attention of fans across the world and her cover of Nelly's "Just A Dream" is one of her most iconic and has been viewed over 115 million times.
As you can imagine, the YouTube community is absolutely in mourning and have taken to social media to share their heartbreak.

We're still seeing thousands of tweets and messages on social media flood in as the world unites in its grief. At the time of writing, we're yet to see an official statement from Christina's management or family who are no doubt experiencing the strongest pain imaginable.
