We're not crying, you are.
Dan Howell and Phil Lester have created quite the dedicated fanbase from their YouTube channels in the past decade. However, aside from the pastel edits and various sexual innuendos that feature throughout their videos, one character has always remained a firm fan favourite; their London home. Unfortunately though, in a new video uploaded just yesterday, the boys have just revealed that they will be officially moving out of it soon.
However, before you start reaching for the tissues and sending them messages along the lines of "this must be so upsetting for you", they both want to make one thing absolutely clear about their current living environment: "Get us the hell out of here as soon as possible". It appears that, behind the camera, the two have distinctly hated living in their quirky apartment for the past five years thanks to the "mice, danger and disturbing noises".
Dan and Phil break down why they can't wait to leave their London home in the video below:
They assure fans that everything is okay and that they're simply looking for a "slightly bigger hamster cage" to call their home, but go on to list at least four reasons why they're dying to leave their flat:
- "We have too much stuff"
- "We're penetrated by noise by three angles... it's like we're under attack"
- "The house is literally falling apart... there's cracks in basically every room"
- "ALSO THE MICE! WE HAD A WHOLE FAMILY OF MICE LIVING IN HERE FOR A WHILE."
Before the video is up, and fans get a final glimpse inside the London home they've grown accustomed to for the past five years, Dan and Phil take us on an apartment tour of all the places they couldn't wait to say goodbye to. From the coffee table rounded by Phil's shins to the people drilling incessantly across the road for the past two years, the boys look genuinely excited to start a new chapter in their life as they bid farewell to their "home".
