The infamous streamer was visibly shaken after the incident

Controversial Twitch streamer DrDisRespect was forced to interrupt a stream of the new Call Of Duty game on the 11th of September, after it appeared that a bullet was fired at his house.

He returned to the camera, very angry and said: “I gotta end the broadcast right now,” he said. “Somebody shot at our house, broke the upstairs window. This is the second shot. Someone shot yesterday. Someone shot yesterday at our fucking house, and someone shot again right now. It connected with the house upstairs, right? You’re driving by, right? You pussy! I gotta stop the stream.” He then ended the stream.

The fact that this is apparently the second instance of this makes it even more serious. YouTubers frequently deal with issues around 'doxxing' (having their private information revealed) but the addition of violence makes it even worse.

A statement on his Twitch profile reads, “Doc and Family Are Safe. Proper Measures are being taken while stream is down for the day.” Another statement was also issued on his Twitter which said: "The situation is being handled appropriately. In the meantime, stream will resume tomorrow according to schedule."

An almost identical message was posted on Twitter, which reads: "the Doc and family appreciate everyone’s concerns and well wishes. Thankfully no one was hurt. The situation is being handled appropriately. In the meantime, stream will resume tomorrow according to schedule."
