Emma Blackery Is Going On DREAM Tour With Busted
4 April 2016, 15:39
Emma's dreams are about to come true.
When YouTuber's aren't uploading videos and keeping us constantly glued to Snapchat, they're out in the world changing the perception of digital media stars. For real. Take Joe and Caspar - just released a travel movie. Take Grace Helbig - two time New York Times Bestseller. And now, we can add to that list, Emma Blackery - recently announced tour support for none other than Busted.
Back in November 2015, our childhood was reinvigorated when Charlie, Matt and James decided to stun the world with a brand new tour more than a decade after their final live performances. More than 100,000 tickets were sold within the first HOUR of general release, but little did we know that whilst concert tickets were quickly selling out, we would be losing the chance to see Emma Blackery live on stage with one of the biggest rock bands in the world.
The Pigs Can Fly tour was announced at 10am on Monday the 4th of April, with Emma teasing the eventual announcement by calming herself down; "ok breeeeeeeeeeathe. it's okay. it's only the start of something incredible" and "dear twelve year old me: yup. we did it". Described as the "biggest moment of my music career so far", Emma will be joined Busted and US rock band Wheatus across their entire UK and Ireland tour starting in May, and will be performing her original music to thousands and thousands of screaming fans.
Talking about the tour itself, Matt shared the reason behind their strange tour name; "The whole Pigs Can Fly thin sums up how we feel about this. There has been times that we thought Busted could never, ever possibly happen and we were quite right in thinking that. But this summarises that anything is possible". The group also added additional dates to the tour in Glasgow, Manchester and London after high demand from upset fans. However, the trio have promised to reveal brand new Busted tracks on the tour, meaning that only three or four of the old-school bangers will feature. Which ones would you love to see brought back to the stage - Year 3000 or Crashed The Wedding?
A massive congratulations to Emma Blackery for literally landing the gig of a lifetime - we cannot wait to see your dreams come true!
