Fans felt that YouTube had skipped over some key people and events

YouTube Rewind 2018 is upon us and once again people are not happy.

These days, as YouTube becomes endlessly bigger and bigger it seems that people are more concerned with what is not in the Rewind than with what is. Case in point: this year's Rewind, which has garnered more backlash than ever before.

Social media is already covered in wish-lists from fans who felt they didn't get the 2018 YouTube recap they deserved. Realistically, with the ridiculous size of the YouTube user base, the Rewind was never going to please everyone, but this has stopped people expressing their dissatisfaction.

Naturally fans have had started to suggest things that should have been included in this year's video.

Some make a lot of sense (no reference to Shane's doc?), some less so (why on earth would YouTube make a reference to the Logan Paul dead body incident in their Rewind video??)

So, Here's a rundown of things people think should have been included:

Some reference to the Logan Paul v KSI boxing match

Billed by the participants as 'the biggest YouTube event in history', there's no denying that this fight dominated headlines this year.

PewDiePie in general

Felix's absence, although predicted by most, has still ruffled feathers.

Some kind of tribute to Stefan Karl

The late great Robbie Rotten actor passed away this year, after being immortalised in countless memes.

A mention of Shane Dawson and his hugely successful documentary series

This has to be one of the most baffling omissions - how could you leave out Shane's docs?

Some Trisha Paytas (especially in the Mukbang segment)

Trisha Paytas improves any video she's in, having her in the Rewind would have been guaranteed comedy gold.

Less celebrities, more actual YouTubers

The inclusion of Will Smith at the start and end of the video has angered some people, who feel (despite him having a channel of his own) that he is taking the place of a 'real' YouTuber.
