Following a raid on his home earlier this month, YouTuber FPSRussia is now facing a maximum penalty of 30 years behind bars
FPS Russia, a YouTuber known for showing off heavy weapons on his YouTube channel has been arrested for illegally obtaining narcotics over the mail. FPS Russia, who is not actually Russian, but is in fact an American named Kyle Myers, was arrested earlier this month following a raid on his Georgia home by the The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office have charged him with possession of Schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute. This is a felony offence, which is punishable with up to 30 years in prison. The ATF obtained a warrant after his arrest, which allowed them to seize a bulk of his firearms.
They have tried to arrest him before
This is not the first time Myers has had his home raided by the ATF. They also conducted a raid back in 2013, presumably due to the fact he is a citizen with a highly unusual amount of serious military hardware. However they were unable to find anything untoward in that instance.
And then there's the mysterious death
In a weird twist to this long battle between Myers and the police, Myers' business partner was found dead from a gunshot wound back in 2013 (just before the previous raid). The shooting was seen as highly suspicious at the time, but no arrests were made. There appears to be no link between that death and this arrest, however.
