The 10th annual Shorty Awards took place the other night, and you can see all the YouTubers who won awards right here. However, among all the beloved creators who took home awards on the night was one name that raised many eyebrows.
FuckJerry (real name Elliot Tebele), an account most known for flagrantly stealing memes, was given the award for 'Best Meme Account/ Parody Account.'
People were not happy
News of the win instantly sparked a flurry of backlash online from people who are aware of FuckJerry's years long reputation for taking people's jokes and reposting them without credit.

There has been no word yet from the Shortys or 'Jerry' himself, but don't be surprised if the Shorty's avoid making a move like this at next year's awards.
