Google Just Brought Back An Old Video Meme In The Best Way

If you've been deep into that YouTube life for as long as we have, then you'll know how to respect a good old-fashioned viral video; even if that video is actually from the 70s. Which is why we were both surprised and delighted to see Google honouring Eduard "Trololo guy" Khil in today's Doodle.
Today's Google Doodle marks the birthday of Russian Singer Eduard Khil.
Khil made YouTube infamy in 2010 when a video recording of his performance of a song called "I am very glad, as I'm finally returning back home" from 1976 was posted online. Since then, Khil's bizarre performance has been memed, parodied and recreated to death; all of which the singer, in his late 70s at the time, was completely oblivious to until he heard his grandson humming the tune.
Today would have been Khil's 83rd birthday.
Sadly the singer died of complications following a stroke in 2012; but Google have honoured his anniversary by recreating the viral video with their own adorable animated sequence. You can watch that on the Google homepage; or right here.
