Grace's perspective on sexuality is so refreshing!
Grace Victory is very popular on YouTube for her incredibly real videos about fashion, sex, and race. But, in a new video uploaded to her channel this week, Grace has taken the conversation about her sexuality a step further by opening up to her fanbase. Whilst she says that labels aren't something of her concern, the current sexuality she strongly identifies with is one of heteroromantic bisexuality.
In the video, Grace talks about becoming sexually active at a younger age than her friends and feeling like she went through a stage in her life of being bisexual. As well as being "interested in their bodies", Victory always felt a strong connection with "what they have to say... how they look, their buzz, their vibe". She then recalls that her first homosexual encounter happened when she did "sexual things" with a girl when they were both aged 16-17.
Grace then goes into detail as to why she thinks she's the way that she is, stating that it might be because she "grew up around gay men" and "never had any strong male characters" in her life. However, it wasn't until she was older that she realised that she wasn't a straight-forward lesbian or bisexual individual, as it became clear she only felt physically for women and not romantically - thus being a heteroromantic bisexual.
Before the video ends, Victory gets very real about the need to label your sexuality, and how it's not always as important as you think; "It's okay to just be who you are, you don't have to do a whole coming out thing". As proof of this, Grace reveals that she has never spoken about her sexual identity with her family, only the experiences she's been through, because she always felt it was unnecessary for them to know. In response, her fanbase have been over the moon to see her talk so frankly about sex:
