Quick, someone pass us the tissues.
Break-ups are the hardest thing in the world for some people, but unfortunately it just comes with the risk of falling in love. So, as big time fans of Hannah Hart, Ingrid Nilsen AND the Hangrid relationship that took the YouTube community by storm last year, we were devastated to find out that our favourite couple is sadly no longer together.
Whilst we say that Hangrid are "sadly" over, both Hannah and Ingrid revealed the break-up in their own words on Twitter to make sure their fans knew that the split was not sad at all, but actually totally amicable. In fact, the decision to part ways happened nearly two months ago (in January 2016) and since, the girls have formed an incredibly "solid friendship".
Both simultaneously posted a statement on their Twitters at 6.58pm on Sunday the 20th of March, Hannah said the following; "In January, Ingrid and I decided to end our romantic relationship. Since then we have put a solid friendship in its place. Needed to take some time to process these things and now that we are ready to share, I wanted to let you guys know. Ingrid is an incredible woman. She remains my personal hero in more ways than one. ???".
Over on Ingrid's Twitter, she shared a similarly emotional message; "Hey everyone, Hannah and I want you to know that we aren't in a romance relationship anymore. We have taken the last couple months to process and have worked on building a friendship that we both value very much. I love Hannah beyond words. She is a spectacularly beautiful human that I'm proud to know ???."
YouTubers such as Estee LaLonde and Melanie Murphy have sent their love and support in response to the news, and whilst we're incredibly sad that Hangrid has come to an emotional end, the two are still inspirational right until the very last second.
Instead of the nasty public break-ups which we've grown accustomed to from other celebrities, Hannah and Ingrid represent a relationship-turned-friendship that ended in a healthy way by showing that falling out of romantic love does not mean people can't still love each other as human beings. Their message is incredibly powerful, and the two deserve all the happiness in the world - regardless of what that means to them.
