#AmazingPhilIsOverParty Trended On Twitter And It's Total Bulsh*t

This is REALLY taking it too far.
#AmazingPhiIsOverParty began to trend on Twitter last night after a homophobic tweet appearing from Phil Lester surfaced online. Fortunately for Phil, the tweet is 100% forged.
On April 12th, a Twitter user shared a tweet which read, "The gays are disgusting" and claimed it was sent by Phil in 2014. It's unclear whether the hashtag was started as a joke or as a serious attempt to smear Phil.
Luckily, most fans saw through the forgery, and rushed to Phil's defence.
"It's an awful joke to make and all it will do is create unnecessary drama," one fan tweeted. Another said, "Phil deserves better."
the #amazingphilisoverparty is not funny and never will be. It was an awful "joke" to make, and all it will do is create unnecessary drama. do not just throw the word "homophobic" around like that, it's not true for phil. even those who pshopped it admitted its fake. So stop.— spøøky-phancakes (@spooky_redbull) April 12, 2018
I’m sorry but there is nothing funny about this hashtag! I don’t care if it was meant to be a joke, it’s rude & Phil deserves better! I hate this! 🙁#amazingphilisoverparty— Leslie🦋 (@smurfetterox86) April 12, 2018
Phil is known for being a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community
As well as courting a strong LGBTQ+ following himself, Phil has tweeted in support of Pride in the past.
Smearing influencers with forged evidence is becoming quite the problem on line.
Earlier this year, Shane Dawson was forced to deny that he was a pedophile after an anonymous person spliced together pieces of audio to make it appear as though he was promoting pedophilia. And in late 2017, Stranger Things actor Millie Bobby Brown was subjected to the #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown hashtag after "fans" photoshopped problematic quotes onto pictures of her.
