Instagram is finally introducing one its most requested features.
Instagram is finally giving the people what they have long wanted.
Say a friend of yours has been spamming your insta feed with boring holiday pics, or you've just had a break-up and don't want to see your ex's pics for a little bit - maybe a friend of yours is just getting on your nerves with their selfies. Well now you have a way to deal with issues like these without taking the heavy move of unfollowing. Now, Instagram is going to start letting you 'mute' people, as Twitter does.
The feature is currently being rolled out to certain users for testing, before it is given to everyone - mostly likely in the coming months. Expect the feature sooner rather than later.
How do you mute someone?
Muting couldn't be simpler. You simply click the triple dot '...' symbol in the corner of a person's account name, and then tap 'mute posts' and that person will be muted. The best part? They have no way of knowing they're muted. Apart from say, stealing your phone - but that's a whole other issue.
