Katy Perry Just Revealed An Iconic YouTuber Is Going To Star In Her New Music Video

Katy Perry released a teaser clip of her upcoming music video for 'Swish Swish', featuring a legendary YouTuber and online star.

On August 21st, Katy Perry tweeted "Countdown to catastrophe!" alongside a minute-long trailer for the video. From the looks of things, the Swish Swish video will spoof iconic sports-comedy movies such as 'Dodgeball' and 'Space Jam'; and will feature a star studded cast.

The cameos revealed in the trailer include:

  • Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live)
  • Terry Crews (White Chicks, Everybody Hates Chris, Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
  • Thor Björnsson (Game of Thrones)
  • Jenna Ushkowitz (Glee)
  • Gaten Matarazzo, (Stranger Things)
  • Nicki Minaj (you know who she is)

Katy Perry Christine Sydelko

That's right, queen Christine Sydelko is going to be in the new Katy Perry video.

There's still no release date planned for the full video, but with the MTV Video Music Awards just days away, there's a good chance we could see the video debut at the same time. Katy Perry is hosting the awards, so it would be the perfect opportunity for her to drop the new video. But we'll just have to wait and see!
